The Brazilian has become disillusioned with the board at the Bernabéu, according to Marca, and he now wants to move before the new season starts next month.
Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is said to have made it clear to Robinho what was on offer for him at Stamford Bridge and the player went into a meeting with Madrid with that in mind.
Having declared that he was happy with Los Merengues only a few weeks, Marca believe that the club's attitude towards talks on a new deal and his inclusion in a swap deal for Cristiano Ronaldo has upset him.
Madrid's sporting director, Predrag Mijatovic, is reported to have said that he would not be allowed to join Chelsea if a bid came in and Robinho responded by stating: "I want to leave Madrid."
Robinho's agent, Vagner Ribeiro, also believes that the Spanish giants' behaviour is unacceptable and that they have completely undervalued his client.
That outburst has seen a rift develop and new Chelsea boss Luis Felipe Scolari is hopeful of doing a deal in the next two weeks for his comaptriot.
Any talk of Barcelona becoming involved has been dismissed, but the fact that stories linking Robinho to Camp Nou shows just how unstable his position has become.
Manchester United could be interested in signing him, but Madrid would only ever discuss that possibility if they are encouraged in their quest for Ronaldo.
